Our vintage wedding dresses

We carry couture designer vintage wedding gowns from the 1950s to 2005, with a focus on the 1990s and Y2K period. We also have vintage bridal attire for events like your welcome party or wedding reception. We have approximately 150-200 dresses in our Atlanta bridal shop.

Quality is our most important criterion when selecting dresses, which is why you will see pieces from little-known or unknown designers like Tarquin Ebker hanging beside dresses made by the most important names in fashion like Christian Dior. Our goal is to preserve historic and couture construction and embellishment techniques, and to offer our clients the best vintage bridal wear, regardless of origin. All of our dresses have a place in our collection because their quality is exceptional, and their beauty is worth preserving.

Although our collection will always be in flux, you're likely to find vintage wedding dresses from the following designers in our store: Amsale, Carolina Herrera, Catherine Rayner, Givenchy, Monique Lhuillier, Oscar de la Renta, and Vera Wang. (We have so many vintage Vera Wangs that we gave them their own page and their own section of our shop.) Our vintage party/event dress designer list also includes fashion designers like Christian Dior, Lanvin, Loris Azzaro, and Valentino.

Price guide

Couture vintage wedding dresses in good condition are rare, and they are priced accordingly. Our prices reflect the quality of our dresses, as well as the highly involved curation and preparation process.

  1. Full-length wedding dresses begin at $4,000

  2. Vintage Vera Wang gowns begin at approximately $5,000

  3. Iconic vintage Vera Wang dresses begin at approximately $7,000

  4. Party & event dresses range from approximately $1,000 to $6,000

Notes on pricing:

  1. Few modern wedding dresses can rival the quality of a couture vintage dress -- at any price.

  2. Sourcing couture vintage wedding dresses is a continuous, labor-intensive process that occurs every day. It is nothing like the traditional bridal shop model, where a boutique carries a limited range of designers, and they simply choose from the dresses their designers create each season. Every dress in our collection must be individually sourced, selected, purchased, and prepared for sale. We love this process, but it takes time and knowledge.

  3. Specialized skills and training are often required to prepare our dresses for sale. For instance, repairs to couture finishing techniques should only be performed by someone skilled in applying those techniques. Preparing a couture vintage dress for sale is not usually a matter of adding a price tag. It can take weeks or months.

Sizing information

Women have always faced enormous pressure to maintain a small body size, and that was especially true 20+ years ago. Most couture vintage wedding dresses are a modern size 10-12 or below. We are very committed to creating a collection that is as inclusive as possible, and we are constantly seeking vintage wedding dresses in sizes 8 and above. We offer higher consignment rates for dresses in sizes 10+, and we typically pay much more to acquire them because of their scarcity. We are proud of how many mid-size dresses we have in our collection, but the truth is that the options available in those sizes are more limited than those in straight sizes. We are working to bring in a select few modern made-to-order designers whose mission and values align with ours.
